In a world that pursues the replica, I use painting to defend the validity of an inner vision.
My beginnings on the path of art were not premeditated. They started in the panels of comic books, where I learned that drawing was a way to express one's inner world. However, it wasn't until a fascination grew in me for the power of visual arts to access the viewer's emotional memory that the core of my work was truly forged.
"The power of art as a vehicle for emotional resonance between creator and viewer."
I have developed my art through different mediums, such as photography and painting. However, I feel that painting is the medium through which I can achieve the best vehicle for connection with the viewer; where a painting can be an echo, a vibration capable of connecting my emotional memory with someone else's. That is the goal I pursue and the reason why I paint.
My creative process is a conscious departure from photographic objectivity and precision. Although I use it as a starting point, it is not the end. The camera captures an instant, but a painting captures a lived experience. It is memory—imperfect, laden with emotion and subjectivity—that guides my hand. In this act, my essence and that of the subject (be it a landscape or a person) merge, giving rise to a new reality, a purely pictorial truth.
My work thus becomes a diary, an existential logbook where each piece is the record not of what I see, but of how I remember it. These works are an invitation to you, the viewer, not just to observe a fragment of my life, but to search through the passages of your own memory, guided by the emotion stirred within you.
For me, art must be a mirror, an act of human connection.
